Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to execute the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department in alignment with the regulations governing our facility, and as directed by the Environmental Services Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out daily housekeeping tasks as assigned.
  2. Execute specific duties according to daily work schedules.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units in resident and communal areas.
  4. Sanitize and polish bathroom fixtures, ensuring removal of water marks.
  5. Wash windows and mirrors in resident rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
  6. Perform floor cleaning activities, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, and disinfecting.
  7. Manage carpet cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing.
  8. Clean walls and ceilings through washing, wiping, and disinfecting.
  9. Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions to remove dirt, dust, and grease from surfaces.
  10. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, stairways, and elevators.
  11. Dispose of waste in designated containers and ensure trash receptacles are lined properly.
  12. Prepare vacant rooms for new residents as assigned.
  13. Ensure all areas are kept clean and that equipment and supplies are stored correctly.
  14. Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language is required. The ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to collaborate harmoniously with other staff and engage with residents at their respective maturity levels. Following written and verbal instructions regarding the preparation of cleaning compounds and solutions is necessary.
