Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital - Nashua, NH. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in a caring and compassionate manner, adhering to established standards and practices.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent customer service.
  • Support and promote the mission and values of St. Joseph Hospital - Nashua, NH.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical history.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, and prepare equipment and instruments as needed.
  • Provide patient education and support, including instructions on medication, treatments, and test results.
  • Screen and document patient calls, determining the urgency of the problem and consulting with providers as needed.
  • Perform patient triage, documenting charts and taking messages as required.
  • Retrieve and file patient records, and import test results into the electronic medical record.
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and other measured injectables as ordered by providers.
  • Perform dressing applications, changes, and removals, as well as venipuncture and other procedures as required.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with scheduling tests and procedures.
  • Complete paperwork and forms related to referrals, health/school/sports, immunizations, and other patient-related activities.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the healthcare team and ensure excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • RN State of New Hampshire license.
  • BLS/CPR, AED Certification Required (must be completed within 3 months of hire date).
  • 3+ years nursing experience preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
