About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our kitchen team as an Assistant Kitchen Manager. This is a full-time position that requires 45-50 hours of work per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items, and driving growth through exceptional leadership and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain thorough knowledge of all kitchen disciplines, including dough mixing, overnight bake, decoration, and prep, to ensure effective coverage during peak periods
* Work closely with the FOH manager to optimize production quantities, adjust schedules, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
* Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance overall store performance
* Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to establish and maintain high standards of product quality, food safety, and presentation
* Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment, encouraging open communication, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
* Participate in inventory management, scheduling, and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role or with relevant certifications
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards shared goals
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality control
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands
* Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
This role requires standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. You'll also need to work weekends and holidays, as well as participate in occasional overtime to meet business demands.
