Key Responsibilities- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, providing education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain standards of professional nursing practice and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide wound care as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Active Maine or New Hampshire LPN license (or RN license for RN position)
- Current BCLS certification (BLS for RN position)
- ACLS certification for critical care departments (if applicable)
- Other certifications specific to department policies may be required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections, and measure results
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, even in high-stress situations
- Proficient computer skills, with experience using electronic medical records and other healthcare software
- One or more years of experience in medical/surgical or geriatric nursing
