Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Memorial Hospitals Long Term Care Facility, Merriman House. This per diem position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Active Maine or New Hampshire LPN license, or current RN license with BCLS certification.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes, chart/medical record documentation, and federal/state laws related to health care information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to maintain a professional manner under stressful situations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN) or active LPN license.
  • Current BLS certification and ACLS certification for critical care departments.
  • One or more years of experience in medical/surgical or geriatric nursing (RN).
