Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Heil Co. as a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician. This individual will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, repairing welding equipment, and performing preventative maintenance duties to company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of Production Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, including adjusting brakes and/or replacing motors, transformers, contactor cranes, and hoists.
- Repair of Welding Equipment: This individual will repair welding equipment, including adjusting or replacing PC boards, transformers, compactors, welding leads, ground cables, and wire feeders.
- Maintenance of Fabrication Machinery: The Maintenance Technician will maintain fabrication machinery, including replacing and/or adjusting brakes, shears, drills, saws, torches, and punches.
- Maintenance of Paint Equipment: This individual will maintain paint equipment, including repairing paint pumps, high-pressure lines, agitators, and air lines, and cleaning line filters.
- Preventative Maintenance: The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance duties to company vehicles, including refueling, changing oil, checking tires, washing inside/outside, and other tasks as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: This individual will troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment as necessary.
Requirements:
- Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will have the ability to understand general arithmetic, write in an understandable manner, understand verbal or written instructions, read and understand instructions, lists, and billing materials, and use PC-based applications, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Mental and Physical Demands: The Maintenance Technician will require normal attention with periods of high concentration intermittently to operate machinery approximately 50% of the time. They will also be required to walk/stand approximately 70%, lift up to 40 lbs. approximately 15% of the time, and perform repetitive overhead work approximately 10% of the time.
Working Conditions:
The Maintenance Technician will work in a plant environment with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
