We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients using proper technique and equipment.
- Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
- Process specimens in a timely manner, including prioritizing STAT specimens and maintaining current knowledge of methods for blood, urine, stool, fluid, and culture collections.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering technical questions and directing others to appropriate resources.
- Perform clerical duties accurately and efficiently, including accurate and timely specimen accessioning and utilizing appropriate resources.
- Successful completion of Phlebotomy training.
- 40 hours of internship.
- Previous 1 year Phlebotomy experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with computer, office equipment, organizational, and team skills.
