About the Role

Gaylor Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Technician to join our team. As a Safety Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement accident prevention programs and training plans to meet project safety specs and requirements.
  • Identify safety work permits and ensure compliance with project contract plans.
  • Conduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
  • Previous safety management/administration experience.
  • Knowledge of construction OSHA rules, regulations, and record keeping.
  • Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possesses current certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in construction Environmental Health and Safety.
  • An academic degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • A valid certificate as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
