Position Summary:
In the role of Vice President of Total Rewards, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy encompassing compensation, benefits, and recognition, alongside Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Your strategic oversight will be vital in evolving our compensation, equity, and benefits initiatives, ensuring alignment with Help at Home's core values. As a pivotal member of the HR Leadership team, you will collaborate closely with senior executives to craft and manage competitive reward programs at scale. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a leader in compensation and benefits who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Articulate and disseminate Help at Home's Total Rewards philosophy to support both immediate and long-term business objectives.
- Design and implement strategic compensation, equity, and benefits programs that drive desired business outcomes, reinforce company values, and enhance employee experience.
- Lead initiatives related to compensation and equity, including job architecture, salary surveys, comprehensive compensation analysis, and updates to the compensation structure across all roles.
- Ensure that Help at Home's benefits offerings meet the diverse and evolving needs of our workforce, while maintaining compliance with all legal standards.
- Collaborate with key HR Leadership Team members to leverage market insights and ensure fairness and compliance in pay practices and policies.
- Oversee HRIS, including the management of Workday implementation.
- Develop and refine variable compensation structures through robust incentive plans that align business and individual goals.
- Manage relationships and projects with external partners, consultants, and vendors related to Total Rewards.
- Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion outcomes through innovative approaches to all aspects of the Total Rewards cycle.
- Craft and maintain effective communication strategies to enhance employee understanding of compensation and benefits programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Compensation and Total Rewards capacity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and managing comprehensive Total Rewards programs within large organizations with diverse employee populations.
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, job evaluation, and salary structure design.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
- Extensive experience in team management and leading large-scale projects.
- Strong technical proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), particularly in compensation tools and benefits administration, preferably Workday.
- Ability to assess and recommend new tools, implementing impactful improvements swiftly.
- Excellent collaborative skills, fostering proactive communication and strong relationships across all organizational levels.
- A strategic and analytical mindset, demonstrating intellectual energy and a commitment to serving the organization and its people.
- A culture champion who recognizes the significance of a robust compensation and benefits program in shaping long-term business strategy and organizational spirit.
- Strong business acumen, including proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to create presentations for executives and boards.
- Sound judgment and the capacity to make independent, informed decisions.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
