Interventional Radiology Technologist Opportunity

Welcome to Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth, a leading healthcare provider in Texas, where you can leverage your skills to make a meaningful impact. We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest medical advancements. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, and preparing patient rooms and equipment. You will also practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.
  • Operate X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, prepare patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Provide patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
  • Exams include all surgery radiology cases and regular diagnostic cases.
  • Perform all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
  • Perform highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination.
  • Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
  • Investigate promptly and follow up on unusual incidents and communicate with Manager.
  • Takes emergency call as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • Current and Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate.
  • Current and Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exams.
  • Experience using C-Arms in an Operating room.
  • Must possess independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
  • Ability to utilize the Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.
