Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

At Texas Health Resources, we are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for assessing and recognizing patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and recognize patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions
  • Prepare room for examination, including setting up equipment and supplies
  • Check physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
  • Greets and acknowledges patients, using two forms of ID
  • Obtains patient history and handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes, or other devices
  • Monitors patients during imaging and demonstrates knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment
  • Uses proper body mechanics when assisting patients
  • Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette, and transports patients as needed
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Applied Science or completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology
  • One year of vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred
  • Two years' experience with high school diploma required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
  • GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT only upon hire preferred
  • RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required
  • LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist if RCIS Only upon hire preferred
  • RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
