Position Summary

The Sterilization and Glassware Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all laboratory containers and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Reports to: Batching & Bottling Supervisor

Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities

Primary Duties Include:

  • Thoroughly cleaning glassware and cylinders.
  • Assisting with general sanitation tasks.
  • Utilizing autoclave equipment for sterilization processes.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

Education/Experience:

No prior experience or specialized training is required.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to comprehend and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing standard reports and correspondence. Capable of communicating effectively in group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Competence in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpreting graphical data.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply logical reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized scenarios.
