Previous work with hands preferred

Job Description

Work with specimen and assist with animal husbandry. Process SPF chicken embryos, cell cultures, animal products, and microbial cultures. Produce antigens and reagents (viruses, mycoplasma, and microbial organisms). Prepare media, buffers, and solutions. Document lab activities. Pack and ship lab reagents. Handle waste disposal and glassware preparation. Order supplies.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Willimantic, Connecticut.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to chemicals and fumes. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit and stand, and use fingers and hands. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
