Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Intelligence Solution Design: Identify and document client needs for Business Intelligence solutions, and design and develop MicroStrategy solutions that meet those needs.
  • Metadata Object Development: Create and maintain metadata objects, reports, and dashboards using the latest version of MicroStrategy.
  • Client Liaison: Facilitate client liaison, supporting ad hoc demonstrations and interactive design sessions.
  • Project Planning and Estimating: Collaborate with project managers to plan and estimate MicroStrategy projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Database Design and Optimization: Review and enhance logical and physical database designs and optimization with the Business Intelligence platform.
  • MicroStrategy Schema Definition and Maintenance: Develop and maintain MicroStrategy schema definitions, designs, implementations, and maintenance.
  • Application Object Development: Develop application objects, including metrics, templates, and filters.
  • Intelligence Server Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure, govern, troubleshoot, and tune the Intelligence Server.
  • Security Administration: Develop and maintain MicroStrategy Security Administration.
  • Client Server Applications and Architectures: Develop and maintain client server applications and architectures.
  • Relational Structures, Dimensional Data Modeling, and SQL Skills: Develop and maintain relational structures, dimensional data modeling, and SQL skills.
  • Reporting Techniques and Data Warehousing: Develop and maintain reporting techniques and data warehousing.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience with MicroStrategy's dynamic dashboard, report development, and project design, including facts, attributes, hierarchies, and portal integration.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
  • Project Planning and Estimating Experience: Extensive experience with project planning, estimating, and approach definition.
  • Database Design and Optimization Experience: Experience in reviewing and enhancing logical and physical database designs and optimization with the Business Intelligence platform.
  • MicroStrategy Schema Definition and Maintenance Experience: Extensive experience with MicroStrategy schema definition, design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Application Object Development Experience: Experience with application object development, including metrics, templates, and filters.
  • Intelligence Server Configuration and Troubleshooting Experience: Experience in configuring, governing, troubleshooting, and tuning the Intelligence Server.
  • Security Administration Experience: Extensive experience with MicroStrategy Security Administration.
  • Client Server Applications and Architectures Experience: Experience with client server applications and architectures.
  • Relational Structures, Dimensional Data Modeling, and SQL Skills Experience: Proficiency in relational structures, dimensional data modeling, SQL skills, Data Warehousing, and reporting techniques.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate details with all levels of management.
  • Strong People Skills: Strong people skills to identify requirements and deliver results.
