Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at a well-established CNC machining facility with over 30 years of history. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify compliance with work standards and customer requirements
Pay particular attention to the timeliness and accuracy of work performed
Screen documents to determine accuracy of data contained within and initiate corrective action as necessary
Keep various logs and use random sampling to evaluate process efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness
Recognize problems that might invalidate samples, investigate complaints, review violations found by personnel, and prepare reports of findings and actions needed or taken
Recommend changes that will improve shop processes with an eye toward improving quality and reducing non-conforming product
Perform in-process inspection of machined parts in support of multiple machines and document the same
Assist CNC operators as needed to support in-process inspection of machined parts
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years minimum mechanical quality inspection or related experience
Working knowledge of the Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing System
Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment and metrology tools (Optical Comparator, micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.)
Capability of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
Strong Mathematical aptitude
Understanding of Machining
Experience in writing quality system procedures and work instructions, working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, are helpful but not mandatory
