Apprentice Roofer Opportunity

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) for Roofers and Waterproofers, Local Union #195, is seeking 30 skilled individuals to join their apprenticeship program.

As an apprentice roofer, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the construction industry.

The apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on training and education in the trade, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have completed 10th grade or have three verifiable years of experience as a roofer.

Applicants must also pass a physical exam, alcohol and drug tests, and provide valid photo identification for drug testing.

The apprenticeship program is registered with the Department of Labor and meets standards established by the Commissioner.

Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status.

Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs.

Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities.
