Position Summary
The Shipping Expeditor at Gulf Cable LLC is tasked with ensuring that all outgoing shipments align with customer expectations and adhere to company protocols. This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment for both the individual and their colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage shipping processes, establishing priorities and selecting appropriate shipping methods to meet deadlines.
- Ensure thorough preparation of shipment orders, including accurate documentation and careful packaging, with a strong focus on detail.
- Review all orders and customer sequences for potential delays, promptly notifying the shipping supervisor of any issues.
- Address compliance challenges and escalate them to management as necessary.
- Collaborate with the shipping team and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Plan and synchronize shipping schedules to enhance delivery efficiency and ensure timely dispatch.
- Communicate shipping and delivery protocols with relevant teams.
- Resolve any expediting challenges with suppliers, production facilities, and storage locations.
- Manage internal order holds effectively.
- Identify and address factors affecting timely shipping, working collaboratively to implement solutions.
- Support the Sales and Inside Sales teams as needed.
- Prioritize orders based on customer requirements and production capabilities.
- Monitor all orders to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Engage with shipping, planning, and other departments within the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Proven managerial and interpersonal abilities.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle moderately heavy objects.
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, along with regular movement throughout the warehouse.
