Bachelor's Degree must be from an accredited CAAHEP approved program.

Required certifications and verifications include:

  • National, HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement, State License Verification, NURSYS Verification, NIH Stroke Certification, Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication), Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam

This is a cytotechnologist position that requires ASCP and Florida State license.

Job Hours

Monday to Friday

Years of experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience required

More than 1 year of microscopic interpretation experience and specimen processing experience is preferred.

Special Requirements/Skills

Maintains expertise in collection, processing, staining and microscope interpretation of cytologic specimens.

Performs computer, clerical, safety and quality improvement functions as defined in the laboratory general and section-specific policy and procedure manuals.

May instruct new employees, Cytotechnologists and Cytopreparatory technicians.

Job Requirements

Certified Cytotechnologist (CT)

Required: Certified Medical Technologist (MT)

Preferred: Bachelor of Science (non-Nursing)
