Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Physics courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time position, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Physics courses at various times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluating student progress and informing students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required



Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field
  • 18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to academic excellence and exceptional service
