Job Summary:

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and physicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vision screening to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Administer eye medications as prescribed by medical professionals to promote patient comfort and well-being.
  • Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to create a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Perform related duties as required to support the success of our team.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Ophthalmic Technician Certification preferred, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $44,450-$69,340/year. Northwell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
