Position Overview: The Collision Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting collision technicians and estimators by ensuring the accurate sourcing and distribution of parts for vehicles undergoing repair at our collision center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist estimators in obtaining the necessary and correct parts for vehicles currently in the repair process.
  • Facilitate the distribution of parts to body technicians to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all parts are accurately charged and linked to the collision management system for proper billing.
  • Inspect each received part for accuracy and any potential damage.
  • Manage the return of all unused parts within the designated timeframe and stay updated on new products and changes.
  • Provide information on out-of-stock parts and secure approvals for special or emergency orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with sublet vendors and services to expedite workflow.
  • Label all received parts with relevant information, including RO number, technician, and estimator names.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, demonstrating effective housekeeping practices.
  • Gather time requirements from technicians and estimators to ensure timely vehicle deliveries.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in parts coordination.
  • Proficient in 10-Key and/or Alpha-Numeric data entry, with the ability to utilize a computer for parts entry and linking.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
