Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, as directed by the registered nurse.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as meal planning, feeding, and toileting.
  • Monitor and report patient conditions, including vital signs and any changes in their condition.
  • Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting a sense of calm and comfort.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care services.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure and active registration.
  • Completion of a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training in a program approved by the Department of Public Health.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, as well as document patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
