Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will employ radiologic sciences technology to perform patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and post-procedure transport.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained, performing daily quality assurance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
  • May perform staff training and education, monitoring and recording patient information, and maintaining report storage and data systems.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use, ensuring timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligibility with registration within one year from date of hire.
  • No prior experience required.
Work Details

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The salary range is $43.10 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity. The work assignment type is onsite, with a day job schedule and a location in Lenoir, NC.
