Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Lenoir, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that requires the use of radiologic sciences technology to perform various patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks related to cardiovascular disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and post-procedure transport.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained on a daily basis, performing and recording all equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
  • Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
  • May perform staff training and education.
  • Monitor and record patient information, maintaining report storage and data systems, and compiling and entering data necessary for charge entry and reports.
Qualifications:

Education Requirements:
Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.

Professional Experience Requirements:
No prior experience required.
