Quality Control Manager Job Description

Actalent is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor QC technicians to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Assist in inspection and testing activities according to documented procedures.
  • Review QC records for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain QC procedures and analytical methods in line with current monographs.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
  • Manage department budget for equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and package samples for customer evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with the R&D and QA teams to ensure quality across all products.
  • Follow company policies regarding quality, safety, health, and environmental systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in quality control, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient with gas chromatography (GC), near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising teams and driving quality initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience across various sectors, particularly in food, pharmaceuticals, or industrial chemicals, is a plus.
