Patterns Behavioral Services is seeking a part-time, per-diem Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist Consultant.

We are in search of a dedicated Speech Pathologist to provide exceptional care for our young patients. The responsibilities of the Speech Pathologist encompass conducting screenings, evaluating patient conditions, and formulating tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing essential speech abilities. You will engage directly with patients to assess their needs and create effective treatment strategies to ensure outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, including causes related to disabilities and traumatic experiences.
  • Maintain comprehensive records concerning patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
  • Communicate progress and current status to relevant parties, which may include family members, educators, or healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, or medical providers as needed.
  • Provide rehabilitation support to assist patients in achieving their goals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Speech Pathologist or in a similar capacity.
  • Experience with specific conditions or age groups may be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of speech-related conditions, their causes, and treatment options.
  • Exceptional coaching, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer use, particularly in patient and healthcare databases.
  • Attentive and compassionate, with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Speech Pathologist.
