Key Responsibilities
  • Educate families and patients about speech disorders, their causes, and potential impacts.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Communicate updates on patient status to relevant parties, including family members and educational staff.
  • Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care.
  • Assist in rehabilitation efforts to help patients achieve their speech and language goals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Speech Pathologist or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with specific conditions or age groups may be advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of speech-related disorders, their causes, and treatment methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on coaching.
  • Proficient in using healthcare databases and patient management systems.
  • Compassionate and attentive, with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Relevant certifications and training as a Speech Pathologist.
