Job Title: Registered Nurse- 11 Months

Job Summary:

SUNY Brockport is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to students, perform laboratory duties, and mentor clinical nursing students and office assistants. This is an 11-month position with the month of June off.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students
  • Perform laboratory duties, including proficiencies and lab procedures
  • Mentor clinical nursing students and office assistants
  • Participate in campus health and wellness outreach activities

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized organization
  • Valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to make independent nursing judgments within scope of practice
  • Ability to work effectively with students, public, university community, and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Experience in ambulatory setting, emergency room, or home care setting
  • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Nonjudgmental, open approach to providing care

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Salary and Benefits:

The minimum salary for this position is $58,306. This position is benefits eligible.
