Job Summary:

SUNY Brockport is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to students, manage front desk staff, and optimize electronic medical records. This 12-month position reports to the Assistant Director of the Student Health Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to students
  • Manage front desk staff and electronic medical records
  • Mentor clinical nursing students and office assistants
  • Participate in campus health and wellness outreach activities
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized organization
  • Valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to make independent nursing judgments within scope of practice
  • Ability to work effectively with students, public, university community, and external constituencies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Experience in ambulatory setting, emergency room, or home care setting
  • Experience with reviewing and optimizing electronic medical records
  • Management experience in a healthcare setting
Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Salary and Benefits:

The minimum salary for this position is $63,607. This position is benefits eligible.
