Job Title: Assistant/Associate/Professor in Neonatology

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced neonatologist to join our team as an Assistant/Associate/Professor in Neonatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). The successful candidate will contribute to the department's missions to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of a state-of-the-art neurodevelopmental follow-up program with corresponding quality improvement and research activities.
  • Provide direct patient care as part of a skilled team of neonatology faculty and neonatal nurse practitioners in the Level IV neonatal intensive care unit at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital and the Level III NICU at Lyndon Baines Johnson Hospital.
  • Supervise and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in the care of NICU patients in both the acute hospital setting and in follow-up clinic settings.
  • Develop and sustain an environment in the patient care units that supports excellence and innovation in clinical practice and patient care.
  • Participate in clinical research conducted in the Division of Neonatology aligned with the candidate's research interests.
Requirements:
  • Board certification/eligibility in neonatal perinatal medicine required.
  • Track record of success in program development, research and scholarly achievement, and recognition as a leader and innovator in neonatal care and follow-up.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
