Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Visiting Instructor of Psychology to join our department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching classes in the Department of Psychology, providing academic advising to students, and contributing to the department's service and research efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classes in the Department of Psychology, including introductory and advanced courses in psychology
  • Provide academic advising to students, including guidance on course selection, career goals, and academic progress
  • Contribute to the department's service efforts, including committee work, event planning, and community outreach
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and presentation
Requirements
  • Master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an instructor in a psychology program in a four-year college or university
  • Experience with teaching, advising, and mentoring students
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices
  • Experience with teaching online or hybrid courses
