Job Overview

Position: Catholic Mass Musician

Responsibilities:

  • The musician will provide essential support for worship music during the Catholic Mass services.
  • Music programming will focus on congregational singing within the Catholic tradition, as guided by the Catholic Chaplain.
  • The candidate will cater to the needs of the Catholic community.
  • The music program will be structured to ensure suitable music ministry within the Catholic worship environment.
  • The musician will oversee chapel musical instruments and inform the Catholic chaplain of any necessary repairs, maintenance, or replacements.
  • While performing duties, the candidate is expected to maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
  • Active participation in the Catholic community is a requirement.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in music with proficiency in organ and piano within the Catholic music tradition, or at least two years of experience leading a Catholic congregation and/or choir with organ and piano accompaniment.
  • Documented musical skills and/or volunteer experience are essential.
