At Graphic Packaging International, we are seeking a skilled Cutting Roll Tender to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Rotary/Platen cutter, ensuring the smooth operation of our paperboard production process.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain the Rotary/Platen cutter to ensure efficient production.
- Position 5000-pound rolls of paper at the unwind station using an air pallet and forklift.
- Comply with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures.
- Complete quality checks on rolls before mounting on the cutter.
- Set up and maintain the auto splicing unit.
- Scan production orders into SAP and record preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.
- Manufacturing experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated and self-starter.
This position requires continuous walking, twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. The working environment is dusty, noisy, hot, and humid.
