Pipefitter - Industrial Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at Stellar. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, positioning, and aligning fabricated parts of mechanical, structural, and miscellaneous assemblies. You will install, test, and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and lay out pipe and tubular products in accordance with design plans and specifications
- Install, test, and repair pipe and tubular products in accordance with industry standards and codes
- Read and understand design documents, including isometric and orthographic drawings
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and install pipe and tubular products
- Install supports, valves, and other control equipment
- Test installed piping systems and install all other related items in accordance with applicable plans and specifications
- Utilize pipe fitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings
- Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures in a safe manner
- Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a pipefitter
- NCCER Certification as Industrial Pipefitter preferred
- Ability to work well within a collaborative, team atmosphere
- Ability to maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to organization/project policies, regulations, and procedures
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area

Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks. Employee is regularly exposed to noise, dust, and varying types of smells. Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; must be able to properly use and handle toxic or caustic chemicals. Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, elevated work areas, and outside weather conditions.
TravelAnticipated 100% travel for this position. Locations vary throughout the United States.
Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a pipefitter
- NCCER Certification as Industrial Pipefitter preferred
- Ability to work well within a collaborative, team atmosphere
- Ability to maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to organization/project policies, regulations, and procedures

Ability to work up to 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes. Ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. Adequate vision to perform all required tasks. Ability to work over 5 feet above the ground; must not have a fear of heights. Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required.
