Job Summary:

Gray Television, Inc. is seeking a skilled Meteorologist to join our team at WHNS TV. As a Meteorologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality weather forecasts, creating engaging graphics, and providing accurate and personalized weather information to our viewers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver accurate and engaging weather forecasts for our weekend broadcasts
  • Create state-of-the-art graphics to effectively communicate weather information to our audience
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest weather trends and technologies, including augmented reality
  • Collaborate with our news team to ensure seamless integration of weather content into our newscasts
  • Participate in community events and signature station events to promote our brand and build relationships with our viewers

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of meteorology with a focus on accuracy and personalized forecasts
  • At least two years of on-air experience as a Meteorologist
  • Ability to work alternate hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
