Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our dialysis team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in need of renal replacement therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Utilize clinical decision support tools and resources to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plan of care as needed.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and workflows.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order to provide safe patient care.
Requirements
  • 12 months RN experience required
  • Minimum 3 months experience providing home hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience leading teams
  • Minimum 6 months experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis
Education
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in peritoneal dialysis and renal replacement therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
