This position emphasizes efficiency and advancement within the Inventory Management team, focusing on data-driven processes and requiring strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. It plays a crucial role within the Inventory Operations group, offering substantial visibility and opportunities for professional development.

As the Inventory Management lead on various initiatives, you will serve as a central point of contact among multiple teams and departments. With an ambitious agenda ahead, the Inventory Operations group is strategically positioned to address major challenges in contemporary publishing, including demand forecasting and global supply chain issues. Our compact team is dynamic and collaborative, while also granting you the independence to explore projects that ignite your problem-solving creativity and implement impactful improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Inventory Management team to identify opportunities for enhancement and increased efficiency, while developing, executing, and implementing solutions.
  • Take ownership of several strategic projects that are vital to the Inventory Management team.
  • Lead the development of new reporting methods and process improvements.
  • Establish and maintain operational best practices for the Inventory Management team, including regular updates on sales and returns status, stock reviews, and reporting against established KPIs.
  • Conduct analysis and reporting to be shared within the Inventory Management team and the broader Publishing Operations audience.
  • Complete special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Publishing experience is not mandatory, but direct experience in report building, process enhancement, and tool innovation is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities; comfort with numbers and data is essential.
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI and SQL is a plus but not required.
