Job Summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking an Escrow Assistant to join their Financial Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely preparation of escrow files and ordering necessary information for closing transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and send opening letters and acknowledgments to all parties involved in the escrow process.
  • Order title commitments and distribute them to all parties.
  • Update payoff/assumption statements as requested.
  • Prepare receipts for all funds received from customers and/or lenders.
  • Order wire transfers and provide wiring instructions.
  • Clear title requirements.
  • Prepare loan packages for return to lenders.
  • Assist the branch manager with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Open refinance orders.
  • Coordinate closings by receiving builder reports, ordering surveys, contacting lenders, obtaining hazard insurance, and entering basic order information on the automated system.
  • Prepare copies for disbursement and closing transmittals.
  • Assist the Closer/Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement, as directed.
  • Monitor termite inspection requests and other required inspection information.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and handling telephone calls concerning the administrative process of transactions.
  • Cancel files according to office procedure.
Requirements

An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
