Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC). As an LPN, you will provide nursing services to patients within a correctional environment, delivering care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients within a correctional environment
  • Deliver care as directed by the Physician
  • Conduct patient intake paperwork
  • Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
  • Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations
  • Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs
  • Assist provider with chronic care clinic and provider sick call visit
  • Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition
  • Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions
  • Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist with training and orientation of new personnel
  • Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
  • Current and valid LPN or LVN license
  • Current CPR
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN
  • One year experience in a correctional healthcare setting is preferred
