The Patient Logistics Center is a hub of activity, serving as a representative for OU Medicine transfers from community hospitals throughout the state and surrounding areas to our three hospitals (OU Medical Center, The Children's Hospital, and OU Medical Center Edmond). As an Experienced RN Transfer Center Coordinator, you will serve as a liaison for physician to physician communication and patient advocate.

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for triage of patients to the appropriate hospital. This role requires utilizing a computerized system of approved clinical protocols to assess, educate and advise referring facilities of the appropriateness of transfer referral request.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage of patients to an appropriate hospital through inpatient and emergency department transfers and Direct Admissions
  • Utilizing a computerized system to assess, educate and advise referring facilities on transfer referrals
  • Communicating patient information to Physicians and Nursing Units for acceptance and patient bed assignment
  • Maintaining various reports and logs as required
  • Maintaining/updates Teletracking on an ongoing basis
  • Delegating tasks to supporting staff

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience: Two years inpatient RN experience with critical care experience preferred

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Possession of a valid temporary license or permanent license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse prior to entrance on duty

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
