Ophthalmic Care Specialist

At MP RPO, we're seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our eye care team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including data collection, testing, and documentation.
- Assist physicians with laser procedures and minor surgery, maintaining strict sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Perform accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks, including visual acuity, manual lensometry, and confrontational visual fields.
- Triage patients, determining the order in which they should be seen by the physician and ensuring a smooth flow of patients through the clinic.
- Provide telephone support for ocular emergencies, prescription refills, and patient care questions.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and provide excellent patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive work-ups on 3.5 patients per hour.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
