Assembly Technician

Job Overview:



This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly of electronic and mechanical components. The successful candidate will be responsible for following methods and sequences of operations to perform tasks such as wiring, component installation, and hand soldering.



Responsibilities:



  • Assemble and test electronic and mechanical components
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with quality specifications
  • Disassemble, modify, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex issues associated with instrument assembly operations
  • Provide training to associates on mechanical and testing activities
  • Execute test instructions and analyze results to determine pass/fail and next steps
  • Conduct routine and moderately complex troubleshooting and repair work
  • Complete production activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations


Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of instrument manufacturing experience
  • AA technical degree with 2 years of experience and high mechanical tool proficiency
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor and develop associates
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical tools and ability to read drawings and interpret dimensions
  • Ability to manage time across multiple production orders and processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting to reach common goals


Working Conditions:



  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
