Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Morning Support Teacher to enhance our team of Early Education Professionals. The working hours for this role are:

  • 7am to 9am
  • 7am to 10am
Please ensure availability from Monday to Friday, and possess reliable transportation. A NC Background Check Qualifying Letter from the NCDCDEE is a requirement for applicants.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily activities and overall supervision of a group of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School at Brier Creek and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Execute the approved lesson plans and daily schedule in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Maintain a welcoming and well-organized classroom that inspires children to explore, create, and make confident decisions.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared areas, and playgrounds.
  • Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School at Brier Creek Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in various tasks as determined necessary by the Director or their designee.
Qualifications:
  • Must fulfill the basic requirements set by the local child care regulatory agency.
  • A NC Background Check Qualifying Letter from the NCDCDEE is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and facilitation of programs, including emergency situations.
