About the Role:

Safety Specialists at The L.E. Myers Co. work closely with field staff, clients, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety-related policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires developing positive professional relationships and ensuring a safety focus throughout all phases of electric construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles and a strong knowledge of OSHA and other industry-related safety regulations.

This is a location-based position encompassing worksites throughout the assigned project area, requiring varying amounts of travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing site visits to observe and document safety behaviors and work conditions.
  • Coordinate with Operations teams to create site-specific safety plans.
  • Participate in project kick off and progress meetings.
  • Support client-specific safety requirements programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coach and mentor project site personnel regarding safety practices and behaviors.
  • Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments.
  • Partner with Safety, Safety Training & Operations teams to schedule or facilitate required employee trainings.
  • Conduct accident/injury investigations including root cause analyses.
  • Provide support to Operations organization for incident case management and documentation steps.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) safety certification preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or related field preferred.
