Position Overview

PHS Bio-Medical Services is seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technician to provide essential support in our cardiovascular lab. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, contributing to the high standards of care we uphold.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Cardiologist or Radiologist, the technician will:

  • Assist in scrubbing procedures and monitoring vital physiologic and hemodynamic data during cardiovascular interventions.
  • Prepare the procedure room to ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are available and in optimal condition.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of medical supplies and instruments, ensuring readiness for all procedures.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Assist in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures as required.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, particularly in a Cardiovascular Lab setting.
  2. Completion of a cardiovascular technician training program, with a focus on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring, is preferred.
  3. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
  4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory.
  5. Proficient computer skills are essential for this role.
