Athletics Development Manager, Miami University

About the Role
The Director of Fundraising and External Relations, Department of Athletics will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the Department of Athletics. This position requires a strong understanding of fundraising principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a deep commitment to the values of Miami University and the Department of Athletics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the Department of Athletics.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with key donors, including identifying, soliciting, and stewarding annual fund and major gifts.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement strategies that align with the university's overall development goals and objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between the development office and the Department of Athletics, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on fundraising initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or comparable work experience are required for this position. Volunteer work may be counted towards this requirement. All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter and rsum.
