Chief Development Officer, Intercollegiate Athletics and Senior Athletic Director

About the Opportunity
The Chief Development Officer, Intercollegiate Athletics and Senior Athletic Director will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Miami University by spearheading fundraising efforts to support the Intercollegiate Athletics program. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Development and Associate Athletics Director of Revenue Generation, this position requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for building strong relationships with alumni, friends, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase annual fund and major gifts to the Intercollegiate Athletics program.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with key donors, including identifying, soliciting, and stewarding annual fund and major gifts.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement strategies that align with the university's overall development goals and objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between the development office and the Department of Athletics, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on fundraising initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or comparable work experience are required for this position. Volunteer work may be counted towards this requirement. All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter and rsum.
