Automotive Service Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Bob King Auto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assessing vehicle service needs, and providing recommendations to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service, with ongoing communication throughout the process.
  • Take ownership of the customer's experience, completing any additional tasks to leave a positive impression.
  • Provide concierge support for owner inquiries, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Maximize technician time utilization, ensuring daily inventory is consistently sold to service customers.
  • Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Maintain a high Customer Success Index, adhering to company standards.
  • Partner with technicians to explain vehicle problems, order parts and tools as needed, and oversee warranty claims administration.
  • Adhere to company standards and dress code, wearing a uniform daily.
  • Maintain positive relationships with factory representatives, vendors, and customers.
  • Display a team player attitude, assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Efficiently navigate computer systems to check in vehicles and ensure smooth processes, comfortable with mobile apps and technology.

Qualifications:
  • Dealership or equivalent automotive industry experience is required.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, with a focus on customer perception and experience.
  • Organized and friendly personality, with the ability to manage multiple computer systems.
  • Strong time management and detail-oriented skills.
  • Fantastic communication skills, with a professional and well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Consistent record of service and sales success, with a strong record of positive customer satisfaction results.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
Pay Plan:

Service Advisors will be paid a draw, split into two payments of $1,500 per paid period semi-monthly. Commission will be paid based on several variables, including customer pay labor gross profit, warranty labor gross profit, internal repair orders, and more. This will be reviewed further during the interview process.
