We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and processing them for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Process blood samples for laboratory testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting.
- Enter accurate orders for lab tests in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to biohazard waste procedures and proper storage and disposal of biohazardous waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
