Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain legal documents and case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough research on statutes, regulations, case law, and background information to support legal proceedings.
  • Interpret laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings, and present facts, analyze legal issues, and apply legal precedents.
  • Interview clients, defendants, plaintiffs, victims, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and evidence.
  • Review and summarize reports, including police reports, medical reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Provide administrative support to the Health Law Unit, including organizing and maintaining documents, and conducting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in preparing and maintaining legal documents and case files.
  • Three years of experience in legal research, including researching statutes, regulations, case law, and background information.
  • Three years of experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Two years of experience in drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Two years of experience in interviewing clients, defendants, plaintiffs, victims, witnesses, and other parties.
